Mining equipment forgings

Mining equipment forgings refer to workpieces obtained by forging and deforming metal blanks. Apply pressure to a metal blank to deform it into your desired shape. Forgings can be divided into cold forging, warm forging and hot forging according to the temperature of the blank during processing. Cold forging is generally made at room temperature, and hot forging is generally processed at a temperature higher than the recrystallization temperature of the metal blank. The heat treatment of forgings can be divided into two groups according to the purpose of heat treatment. Forged forgings eliminate loose metal.

Characteristics of mining equipment forgings

  ● Wide weight range. Forgings range from a few grams to hundreds of tons.

  ● Higher quality than castings. The mechanical properties of forgings are better than castings, and they can withstand large impact force and other heavy loads. Therefore, forgings are used for some important and stressed parts. For high carbide steels, forgings are of better quality than rolled products. For example, high-speed steel rolled products can only meet the requirements after forging, especially high-speed steel milling cutters must be forged.

  ● light weight. In the case of constant strength, forgings are lighter than castings, which reduces the weight of the equipment itself.

  ● High productivity. For example, using two hot forging presses to forge radial thrust bearings can replace 30 automatic cutting machine tools. When the upsetting automatic machine is used to produce M24 nuts, the productivity of the six-axis automatic lathe is increased by more than ten times.

  ● Free forging is more flexible. Therefore, in some repair factories, forging methods are widely used to produce various accessories.

Construction Machinery Equipment Forgings

Construction machinery equipment forgings refer to forged parts used in construction machinery equipment to bear the mechanical requirements under high load and severe working conditions. Common construction machinery equipment forgings include shafts, gears, sprockets, pins, hydraulic cylinders, buckets, etc. Forgings usually choose high-strength alloy steel or cast steel as materials to meet their requirements in heavy-duty and abrasive environments. These materials have good mechanical properties and durability, and can withstand high-strength and heavy-duty working conditions.

Characteristics of forgings for construction machinery and equipment

  ● Since construction machinery and equipment often need to withstand heavy load conditions, forgings are usually made of high-strength alloy steel or cast steel to ensure that they can withstand high loads and fatigue resistance.

  ● Wear is often encountered during use, and forgings are usually made of materials with good wear resistance to prolong their service life.

  ● Often work in a humid or corrosive environment, forgings usually choose materials with good corrosion resistance to prevent corrosion damage.

  ● It usually has good maintainability, and the service life of the equipment can be extended and the maintenance cost can be reduced by repairing or replacing forgings.

  ● It is usually required to have high dimensional accuracy to ensure that it can be used in conjunction with other parts to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
